i'm home alone. almost. leonard is sound asleep and tove is with some of her friends at a restaurant. it's awfully quiet. it's funny how quickly i've gotten used to having a small person crawling around my legs, demanding attention at all times. tonight is the fourth night in a row that leonard has fallen asleep in my arms. it wasn't long ago that he didn't allow me to tuck him in at all. it's only two and a half months left before i leave work and stay home with my son; seven months of something completely different than hacking, writing research papers, fund raising and trying to figure out the next step towards the completion of my thesis.

the above photo is also from taipei. it's the conference center at which i attended the conference on computational liguistics, coling, last august. by now, you guys who have visited this blog regularly must think that i've been there a lot. but i haven't. the main reason for all those taiwan/taipei photos is that those negs happend to be there when i reached out for a batch to scan:) soon, i'll dig deeper in my cardboard boxes and see if i'll find a different theme or a different location.
