see the two characters in the middle of the picture? it's february and the two chefs are outside, not wearing any outdoor clothes. guess what they're doing... smoking. why else would people get outside during winter without warm clothes? i don't say that smokers are stupid; maybe they aren't as sensitive to cold weather as the rest of us?:)

using a lomo sort of sets the almighty rules of how to compose a picture out of play since the vignetting, especially at low light, is severe. rule of thirds suddenly becomes rule of trying to center the subject. on the other hand, the vignetting emphasize what's in the middle. so, did you notice the two characters in the shot above without reading this text?
