remember the gig posts from back in may? it's in the water now, and a couple of weeks ago, we went for our first ride in it. i'm really excited about the way the instant feedback (well, sort of anyway) of digital photography lets me experiment and go ahead with ideas that simply would cost me too much film if i'd decided to do it traditionally. the above shot is an example of such a situation; i wanted to get a low angle of the boat making it's way through the water and it took me a good dozen of shots or so to get this image. i would'nt even have tried it with film. nikon d70, 50/1.8, iso 200.
