my site was down for a day and a half or so. apparently, my domain name had expired, and no one told me to renew it. a couple of emails and a phone call later, the matter was solved; my hosting company fsdata.se saw to it that the name smudo.org was put back into use, for the time being at their expense since they figured i didn't want my site to be down the week it'd take for domain name company to send me the bill and collect the money. i really appreciate their flexibility! in the meanwhlie, smudo.org has probably used up the world's supply of slash characters...
