now i've really created a need for a scanner that can cope with medium format negatives. i know i've talked about this several times before, but i never seem to get around to actually buying a scanner. and the manufacturers keep releasing new models... i'd almost decided to get me an epson 3170 when i found out about the epson 4180. please let me know if you have any opinions, reviews, or hands-on-experience about that particular scanner!

oh, and it'll be at least another week before i get my d70 back from nikon service. it's been sitting there for the past three weeks now. *sigh*.
