did you know that the remote to the nikon d70 survives a sixty degree centigrades wash for an hour? no? well, it does. i know since i've tried it empirically. the remote is one of leonard's favourite toys, and when i was doing the laundry the other day (that's the division of labour at home; i do the laundry, and tove does the vacuum cleaning), i thought i'd emptied leonard's pockets. but apparently i hadn't. the remote was ful of water, so i removed the battery and let it dry for a day or so. then i reassembled it, et voilà, it worked like a charm. now, if only the d70 itself was made as sturdy as the remote...
