so, my lomo died on me. again. this time, i'm not able to fix it. not without tools. the winder got stuck a couple of frames into a roll of tri-x. too bad; i was really looking forward to shoot some black and white, as well as some slide film for cross-processing. oh well.

yesterday, i took a walk from battery park, via wtc, broadway and fifth to central park. took me the better part of the day. glorious spring weather, lots and lots of people. i spent today at moma, looking at some clever pieces such as the work of thomas demand and the remarable shots by michael wesely. don't miss out, have you ever the opportunity to see their work.

upon entering the exhibitions at moma, security asked me to check in my backpack. i said i'd rather not to, and showed him the contents; a camera and a set of lenses, far too dear and expensive to check in anywhere unless i too am be checked in. so he told me to carry the backpack on my chest, just like when carrying a baby, so as not to risque damaging anything at moma. "ok", i said, "just like the good ol'days". "really?" he said, "paratrooper?". "nope, a dad carrying his son."
