the forecast for change of web host is still not good. the issue has been propagated to the registrar of my domain name, and they want money to even talk to me it seems. i keep getting these canned support messages saying "since you're not a customer at ..., please supply your billing address". heck, it was my previous host who registered the name. then the previous host discontinued their cooperation with the registrar. so, the old host can't do sh*t with the name smudo.org; still, they want SEK 495 plus taxes to update the DNS, of which they apparantly have no control. suckers. the new host, however, has been very helpful and quick to respond all my questions.
