hosting matters continued. my former host, fsdata, has obviously failed to dismiss me from their lists, despite the three month period of notice (the period in itself being an unusual, and unreasonable, amount of time for these kind of things). last week, i recieved a bill for the coming three months! upon talking to the support at fsdata, they let me off the hook; i didn't have to pay for services i hadn't signed up for. well, waddayaknow. yesterday, i recieved an email telling me about improvements made at fsdata support, and, here's the great thing about it, how much they valued me as a customer. hey, guess what? i'm not a customer anymore! so i emailed them, kindly telling them not to send me any info again. the email bounced. you cannot email fsdata support. instead, i had to log in and register a question with their online support. i figured that since i'm no longer a customer, it'd be kind of hard to log in to their system. but, you guessed it, logging in wasn't a problem. let's see if fsdata, upon a direct request, succeeds in removing me from their lists.
how come it is so hard to get rid of them? they're worse than the cable company we were unfortunate to try to part with a couple of years ago. sticky. persistent. on the verge of dumb. c'mon fsdata, let go. there is no you and me anymore.
listening to while whining: sophie rimheden - panic.
