there are still another couple of days to go before the deadline to the aaai spring symposium on computational approaches to analysing weblogs. i've spent the day writing up a short paper about a couple of ideas that's been floating around at work on the matter. now, we just need to find the time and funding to set up some experiments. basically, the idea is to enrich the concensus knowledge represented by your average wikipedia on a certain subject matter with the opinions currently floating around in the blogosphere on the same subject. the purpose of it all is to aid readers in answering questions like what standpoints are prevalent regarding this matter?, and how controversial is this subject?.
