i'm a convert. i've let go of my old windoze-based laptop in favour of a brand new imac g5. it arrived two days ago, and i'm very impressed of what i've seen so far. though i still have a long way to go before i'll be as familiar with the apple concept as i am with the windoze one (although using tiger is in a sense like coming home as a unix terminal window is never more than a mouse click away;)). i had an all nighter installing the software i think i need to get started... that's where you come in; any suggestions whatsoever regarding software i should or should not use (not just for image processing) are highly appreciated.
