for a while there, my brain almost had me thinking it was spring... not so.

there's a mechanism called bankid here in sweden, an electronic id of sorts, the purpose of which is to facilitate the communication between individuals and institutions such as banks, social security, and so on. maybe i'm naive here, but i thought the banks who teamed up in order to provide the bankid service were aware of a little platform called mac? it turns out that one of the banks we're using is not. skandiabanken apparently has no plans to let users of mac in on the bankid service. that's more than enough for us to switch to another bank. the search starts today...
