being new in a building makes me wonder what kind of stuff your neighbors tolerate. i usually hit the shower around 5 am, and that might just be a source of irritation to some. speaking of which... a couple of years ago, some friends of mine, A and B, lived at the top floor in a student apartment in uppsala. the apartment immediately below them hosted an elderly, a bit on the stingy side, couple. at one time, A went to the bathroom. one gotta do that sometimes. five minutes later, there was a knock on the door. outside was the elderly woman from downstairs, addressing A "you went to the bathroom a couple of minutes ago, right?". A: "yes (?)". woman: "you stood up having a leak!". A: "...".

some people are easily offended.
