i know exactly where my creativity went. it's bottled up in ten thousand lines of java code. at least i know it compiles and runs. and i can spend far too much time thinking and talking about the benefits of eclipse, how fatjar really helps deploying things on remote servers, and how to wrap it all up in shell scripts that mails me the result files once they are done. i'm not thinking so much about photography as i do about how to implement that k-means clustering mechanism for... oh wait, maybe i should try an expectation-maximization approach instead?
there's not that much of a difference between being six years old playing with lego, and being 36 and building software thingies...
